Bar One Cafe

If you’re in Malta and looking for the perfect spot to take a short break, you have to visit this little place! I had an excellent espresso and a delicious cannolo – truly a sweet delight. The interior is charming and beautifully arranged, and the staff are incredibly kind. Special shoutout to Sandro, who brought everything to our table, introduced himself, and had a genuine chat with us. You can really feel they love what they do. Highly recommend – 10/10! Definitely worth a stop during your walk.

Bar One was a bonus find as we walked around the old city a couple of weeks ago. The staff were wonderful (Sandro and the team) and made us feel very welcome. The coffee was excellent, and the next time we visit Mdina we'll be calling in again, as we really want to try the food!

The cakes in this cafe were delicious, the coffee, fresh and strong. And the staff were chatty and friendly and made us smile. Definitely recommend stopping in for the apple crumble. Chefs kiss.

I recently visited BarOne in Mdina and was thoroughly impressed with the warm welcome I received. The staff, led by Sandro provided excellent service. Good prices and delicious food especially the coffee. Welcoming atmosphere in the heart of Mdina will return.

Nice place to get a delicious coffee and Chai latte with oatmilk. Insider tipp in the middle of Medina. Sandro was funny and so kind. We laugh a lot. Thank you for the nice time!

Even though we didn't have food here, the only thing I had were a smoothie and a piece of cake but the service was amazing. I didn't have to open the straw because Sandro opened it for me in the very politest way possible. Couldn't be better. I was very happy. Well done to all (Sandro and the team). Keep it up and I see you soon in a short period of time for sure. Love it

A small, charming café in Malta that wins you over instantly! The espresso was top-notch, the cannolo fantastic, and the atmosphere so pleasant that you’ll want to stay longer than planned. Sweetly decorated with attention to detail, and the staff are extremely welcoming. Sandro was amazing – he brought everything to our table, kindly introduced himself, and spoke with us sincerely. Such service is rare! Absolutely 10/10, make sure to drop by, especially if you’re looking for a lovely moment of rest during your walk. Highly recommended!

Just popped into the Bar One Cafe in M’dina for two coffees (one Irish coffee and one Americano) and we were delighted to have stumbled upon such a welcoming place. Sandro and the team were fantastic. He had such chat out of him in that he could be Irish himself. As it turns out, he has relatives in Cork in Ireland whom he has visited on a number of occasions and such was his ‘gift of the gab’, that while there, I think he took a bite out of the Blarney Stone! A great cafe to experience, do stop by when you are visiting M’dina. Peter
